If you are a fan of Role Playing Games (RPGs), then you must definitely be aware of the Kingdom Hearts franchise, which is a very popular Japanese Role Playing Game(JRPG) and has been around ever since the early 2000s. The first Kingdom Hearts game was released on the PlayStation 2, and the rest is history.
The best part is that you can play all of the Kingdom Hearts games on a PlayStation 4 or a PlayStation 5 by downloading them from the PlayStation Store, but to do that you need an internet connection that is fast enough to download all the games as quickly as possible! That won’t be a hassle if you have subscribed to any of the AT&T Bundles Deals or other high-tier internet packages.
Once you ensure your internet is good enough, all you need to do is buy the Kingdom Hearts All-in-One Bundle online, and you can download it to play all of the Kingdom Hearts games in one place. If you have played the games before and are familiar with the characters, then you are in luck.
Today, we will be talking about the best characters from the franchise and what makes them so good. Make sure to read to the end to see if you agree with us or not.
So without any further ado, let’s get started!
-
Sora
The list obviously had to start with Sora, the main protagonist of the game. The whole story revolves around this one guy and Square Enix really made sure that they wouldn’t hold back with Sora’s character.
Sora is a very happy-go-lucky kind of teenager who somehow ends up saving the world from falling into darkness over and over again. However, one thing that’s best about Sora is how his life revolves around his friends, and he would do practically anything to make sure that they are safe, even if he has to sacrifice himself.
Throughout all of the games (except Birth by Sleep), you can level Sora up and improve his abilities through armor and accessories to make him even stronger, which makes gameplay even more fun.
-
Riku
There is no doubt that Riku had the best character development throughout the series. He was the only one among Sora, Kairi, and himself who gave in to the darkness in the first part of Kingdom Hearts and thus began his journey to dawn. Riku eventually learns how to keep his darkness in control and how to be there for his friends.
In Kingdom Hearts 2, he proves to be a great help to Sora in defeating Xemnas, and he also has a huge role to play in Kingdom Hearts RE: Chain of Memories, where he tries to escape his darkness and make his way out of Castle Oblivion. Riku also passes his Mark of Mastery exam to become a keyblade master, which is also a great deal, given what he has been through, and the title of a Keyblade Master is something that he deserves!
We can’t wait to see how Riku will rescue Sora from Quadratum now!
-
Ventus
While playing Kingdom Hearts Birth by Sleep, I remember spending countless hours playing as Ventus because of how fun his gameplay was. Compared to Aqua and Terra, Ventus was a lot more agile and had fluid movement as you played with him. Ventus also had a great storyline from the events of Kingdom Hearts Birth by Sleep to the events of Kingdom Hearts 3.
When it was revealed that Ventus was a part of the Dandelions, and he existed at the time of the Foretellers, that made things a lot more interesting, and now we can’t wait for the future Kingdom Hearts movies so that we can learn more about Ventus’ character!
-
Roxas
When Ventus’ character was first revealed, we were confused because Roxas and Ventus look exactly the same (it was later revealed why that is in Birth by Sleep). Roxas’ character was first revealed in Kingdom Hearts 2, and ever since then, it was easy to figure out that Roxas had a pretty sad story. Roxas is the Nobody of Sora when Sora sacrifices his heart in order to save Kairi in Kingdom Hearts 1, turning him heartless in the process and creating Roxas as Sora’s Nobody.
The best part about Roxas is how he wields two keyblades, Oathkeeper, and Oblivion, and I remember being ecstatic when I could play a little section in Kingdom Hearts 2 where I got to play with a dual-wielding Roxas against Axel!
Kingdom Hearts might seem like a kids’ game, but it’s exactly how they say that you shouldn’t judge a book by its cover! Kingdom Hearts is the kind of franchise that would change your life for the better, so you better play all of the parts otherwise you would be missing out on a lot!
