What are Quasars?

The word Quasar is made up of Quasi-Stellar-Radio-Sources. Basically quasar is a category of radio galaxies. Quasars are the heavenly bodies similar to stars. These are strong source of radio radiations.
The discovery of quasars was done by Thomas Mathew and John Bolton. Both were the scientists of U.S.A. The first discovered quasar was named as 3C48. The average distance of quasars is too long from our solar system. These exist at a distance of nearly 5 to 10 billion light years.
The method which was used to discover quasars is known as Doppler’s shift. The energy emission of quasars is extremely high. It can’t be described with the help of equations or formulas.
