What is Hydrogen Bomb?

The thermal nuclear reactions among nuclei of hydrogen isotopes like deuterium and tritium serve as sources of energy on earth crust. These type of nuclei occur more rapidly so they can provide us a large amount of energy through thermonuclear reactions provided temperature range must be very high. The thermal reactions are as follows:

1D2 + 1D2———>2He3 + 0n1 + Energy
1D2 + 1D2———> 1T3 + 1H1 + Energy
1D2 + 1T3———> 2He4 + 0n1 + Energy

These fusion processes release very high amount of energy in the form popularly called hydrogen bomb. As hydrogen bomb requires a high range of temperature, a suitable quality of deuterium or tritium or a mixture of both is combined with a bomb of nuclear fission type called atom bomb which is required to provide high temperature to the atmosphere.
