Compare the strengths of acids and bases.

Strengths of acids and bases can be compared on the basis of their dissociation constants. The acid or a base having a higher value of dissociation constant is stronger. But, for quantitative comparison, the concentration of H+ ions should be determined for both acids in solution of equal molarities. In general, strengths of two acids HA (1) and HA (2),

[Strength of acid HA (1) /Strength of acid HA (2)] = [(Ka (1)) 1/2/ (Ka (2)) 1/2]

Where Ka (1) and Ka (2) are dissociation constants.
Similarly, for two bases,
[Strength of base BOH (1)]/Strength of base BOH (2) = [(Kb (1)) 1/2/ (Kb (2)) 1/2 ]
