Explain the role of temperature in the ecosystem?

The temperature with a narrow range allows the organism to survive. It varies from 5 to 35 degree Celsius. There is an exception for spores, seeds and some other organisms. The prokaryotes occur in the high temperatures of hot spring and in the low temperatures of permafrost. They vary from 90 to minus 50 degree Celsius. The temperature zone varies in the different parts of earth. There are different areas which are referred as tropical, subtropical, temperate and alpine. These areas have different temperatures. The high as well as low temperature leads to the human inactivity. It may lead to the death of organism. The death is sudden in the cold blooded animals which are also known as the poikilothermal. The death is delayed in the warm blooded animals which are also known as the homoiothermal. So, these organisms adapt to different environments.
There are certain modifications which allow the animals to adjust to cold weather. It includes the coat of feathers and hair, large fat deposition which is subcutaneous, short lived animals with the winter eggs, winter sleep in warmer areas, and move to warmer areas. It includes the birds, fishes and reindeer. There are certain modifications which allow the animals to adjust to cold weather. It includes the resting of animals in the shades and is referred as an aestivation. It is performed by the frog, insect, reptile and mammals. They have the ability to reside in the burrows for most part of their day. They become active when the temperature falls that is during night, early morning and the evening. These processes are referred as nocturnal, auroral and vesperal phenomena. There are certain modifications which allow the plants to adjust to variations in the temperature. The plants cannot move so they have to face these adverse circumstances very often. They can adapt to either cold or hot conditions. They have thick cuticle and bark. Their leaves are thick and have hairs. They have a mucin and tannins. They have a high solute content.
